Before starting, I had to finish revising yesterday’s notes. It took me about 10 minutes to go through each alphabet. Just a quick note before I move on to today’s lessons – there’s a great website Merelin suggested – busuu.com. It offers a free 14 day trial and then about $14 per month, even cheaper if you subscribe for a year. She also suggests The French Experiment and Fantastique. Every platform has a unique way of introducing you to French.
Some start with grammar, some will directly take you to introductory sentences. But to each their own, I’m going to move in my own direction, learning from my own patterns for about 30 days and learning how far I can get. Today, we start with the first 20 numbers – zero to twenty. Here’s my list.

Now, let’s look at numbers from 21 to 100. There are some things to note here – We’ll use “et” to combine the words. For example, 21 will be pronounced as “Vinget et Un” – वैN-ते-आं (नाक से “वैN”, फिर हल्का “ते”, और “आं”). And in numbers where we are not supposed to use “et”, we’ll have to compulsorily use “-“, as in 22, we’ll say Vingt-deux. वैN-दू (नाक से “वैN”, फिर “दू”).

And that has blocked my mind for good. I don’t know if this is enough for the day, but that’s enough for today. I need to learn to spell 1-10, and then create combinations from 11-100. That could take a while. I think I should just start reading them again and again, and writing them. Let me know.
