Apple iOS 26 – Liquid Glass Design – Some Thoughts and Ideas

I was waiting for the 9th of June. Not only because bills were due, or it was going to be third day of the week, at least 5 more day before weekend arrives, or because the mango season was ending in Ahmedabad, and every other day, with carbon ripen mangoes was making me sick of ‘em, or because I was having a hard time focusing on what matters to me, as human, as someone who can think, and find something new to think about. It was Monday as usual.

Then YouTube showed me an upcoming event from Apple. WWDC 25. What a way to end my Monday. I will still have my overly ripe mangoes, pay the bills, wait for the weekend to show up, and watch the event to see the same old apple things, slightly updates, slightly boring, and yet, a bit better than before. Much like ripened mangoes, that you are really tired of. 

Five minutes into their presentation, I’m greeted with a new design. And I forget everything I blamed them about – from their lack of AI capabilities, to their old design, to their aged understanding of how tech companies should be. Beyond my expectations, I started feeling that Monday was ending better. 

First, the design. There’s something about Apple that makes sense. Yes, companies like Google and Microsoft do try to ship things faster, sometime to the level where they would bend their ideologies to find their next customer. Not Apple. Their ideology, shockingly, remains the same. “Offer new experience to customers, but not at the expense of what’s most valuable to them – theri privacy. although, they may not understand the importance of it right away, out of their naivety
